At BugSwift ("BugSwift", "we", "our"), we are committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of software development and QA teams using our automated browser testing platform. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, store, and process data when you interact with our web dashboard, cloud worker fleets, and recorder extension.
2Information We Collect
Account Credentials: Name, work email address, hashed passwords, and organization membership details.
Test Execution Artifacts: Step definitions, DOM selectors, target URLs, test run screenshots, video recordings, and diagnostic network HAR traces generated during test runs.
Chrome Extension Recording Data: The BugSwift Recorder extension activates solely when you explicitly start a test recording session on a designated browser tab. It captures click coordinates, input events, and CSS/XPath selectors. It does not monitor background browsing or tabs outside active recording sessions.
3How We Use Your Information
- Orchestrate parallel browser test runs across our distributed Playwright worker clusters.
- Provide visual step editing, test analytics, regression diffs, and execution histories.
- Power our AI self-healing selector engine to heal broken locators within your tenant workspace.
- Deliver automated test notifications and alert webhooks (e.g., Slack, email).
4Security & Environment Secret Protection
Sensitive test variables (e.g., passwords, API authorization tokens, staging credentials) are encrypted at rest using AES-256. Execution runner containers run in strictly isolated sandboxes with ephemeral memory and are immediately destroyed upon run completion.
5AI Self-Healing Privacy Guarantee
Our automated selector repair and AI assistance operates strictly within your organization's isolated tenant boundary. BugSwift does not train public AI models on your private DOM structures, user flows, or proprietary application payloads.
6Data Retention and Deletion
Test execution history, screenshots, and video recordings are retained according to your plan retention policy (typically 30 days) and automatically purged thereafter. You may delete any test suite, project, or entire organization account at any time via the BugSwift dashboard settings.
